Our audiologists evaluate patients with a variety of balance disorders with a comprehensive protocol including thorough history-taking, functional assessment, and specialized testing to determine the cause of each patient's dizziness and/or loss of balance. We work closely with physicians and physical therapists in our area to achieve accurate diagnosis and effective treatment for each patient.
Evaluation involves a thorough case history and specialized audiometric testing to identify underlying causes. Patients are often referred to an appropriate physician for further testing and collaborative treatment.
Our audiologists understand the importance of thorough counseling to help both patients and their families understand impacts of their individual hearing loss, tinnitus, and/or dizziness as well and adjust to an appropriate rehabilitation plan.
We offer all of our patients free instrument(s) cleaning, adjustments and any minor repairs that we can perform in our own repair laboratory free of charge.
We offer "all make" repairs through our major manufacturers with a minimum of six months warranty. We also offer service for minor repairs in our own in-house repair lab for $19.99. Free estimates are available for both services.
Our audiologists and staff have experience working with a variety of assistive listening devices that can be used alone or to supplement hearing device/cochlear implant use. We work with most major technologies including Bluetooth, induction loops, FM systems, infrared, etc. Another of our priorities is assisting patients in obtaining amplified telephones supplied by the state of Florida free of charge to residents who are hearing impaired.
