During this time, she was able to gain experience treating particularly complex cases of hearing loss with a variety of hearing loss treatments including hearing aids and cochlear implants. From this exposure to complex hearing loss cases, Dr. Hamaker is highly skilled at cochlear implant testing and programming of all three FDA approved cochlear implant manufacturers. Dr. Hamaker became interested in the field of Audiology when one of her family members was born deaf and received a cochlear implant. She saw how important hearing is in the role of communication. Dr. Hamaker is thrilled to be able to help patients of her own, making a positive impact on her patients' hearing and lives.
